About Us

I first discovered my love of natural stones through my grandfather who purchased boulder opals from Cooper Pedy, South Australia. I am the numbers man behind the business and passionate about researching and sourcing quality gems. My favourite stone is tanzanite which is mined in Africa. I am looking forward to taking the family to Tanzania to meet our suppliers and explore the tanzanite mines.

I have a PhD in Ecology and Zoology with a real passion for birds and photography. The Forest kingfisher, featured in our brand, is one of my favourites with its striking metallic blues and greens. These colours are also found in the sapphires, tanzanites and emeralds of our jewellery, but my favourite stone is aquamarine - with its many shades of sparkling blue.

Hi, I am Lachy’s and Anna’s daughter, and I am excited to soon launch my own business called Little Kingfisher Jewellery. I want to sell beautiful, playful and affordable silver and gold plated pieces for anyone who loves to have fun with jewellery. My favourite stone is emerald, I love how the colour reminds me of the rainforest.
