Kingfisher Jewellery is a locally owned business located in Tropical North Queensland, Australia and is inspired by nature and the beauty of its elements - the oldest rainforests and the wonder of the magnificent Great Barrier Reef. It is from this beauty that the inspiration for our brand and products came about. We are dedicated to finding the most beautiful gemstones, rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets from all around the world. We can also custom make any jewellery you desire with over 30 years of experience.

Lachy
I first discovered my love of natural stones through my grandfather who purchased boulder opals from Cooper Pedy, South Australia. From here I developed my passion for natural elements and the beauty that can be created from them.
You will mostly find me working deals with our many suppliers around the world to source the finest gemstones to sell to you or design and make into something original and amazing. Of all gems my favourite stone is Tanzanite due to it's interesting history with the Massi tribe and its rareness. With the only mine
due to close in the next 10 – 15 years I often look for amazing examples of this gem.

Sophia
Hi, I am Lachy’s daughter Sophia. I am excited to soon launch my own business called Little Kingfisher Jewellery where I want to sell beautiful, playful and affordable silver and gold plated pieces for anyone who loves to have fun with jewellery.
My favourite stone is Emerald, I love how the colour reminds me of the rainforest. I am also a lover of Bees and nature and coming in a close second favourite is the Honeycomb cut Citrine.
It reminds me of the bee hives ready to harvest for honey.
